New boat dedicated for evangelism ministry in Panama

New boat dedicated for evangelism ministry in Panama

by | 29 Mar 2017

A boat that will facilitate evangelism ministry in communities and villages along Bayano Lake in eastern Panama was dedicated 5 March. The boat was named after pastors Blas Segura and Anadeis Rodríguez, pioneer missionaries in the region.

Pastor Carlos de la Cruz led the boat dedication. Rodríguez and her family were present to express their gratitude, along with the wife and daughters of Pastor Blas Segura.

Children from the Church of the Nazarene's Colorado District raised funds for the boat, and several Colorado District pastors and leaders were able to attend the dedication to offer a blessing.

Pastors, leaders, and relatives of the honorees were the first to take a ride on the boat.

"It was a great festivity, since it is the beginning of great things that the Lord will do in the communities and villages where the word of God will be taken," said Joel Bermudez, Panama Communications.

Pastor Amable Polanco from Panama's Evangelism Ministry thanks the children and leaders of the Colorado District, as well as missionaries Rhonda and Bernie Slingerland, the families of the honorees, and all the leaders and pastors of the Panama Central District.
