Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

Robert “Bob” Leroy Woodruff, 77, of Hamilton Hill, Australia, passed away 10 April 2025. He was a retired missionary and educator who served for five decades in Papua New Guinea, Australia, Germany, and Kenya.

Vuyani Gladman Tom was appointed superintendent of the RSA Kei District in South Africa, and Hebson Barasa Nagemi was elected superintendent of the Kenya Western District.

On 1 March 2025, an important milestone was reached when 20 dedicated church planters from a single district graduated in Nairobi, Kenya, after completing their theological training.

Recently, Madagascar, known as the Big Red Island, was severely affected by consecutive cyclones. Cyclone Honde passed by Madagascar in late February toward the north, and Cyclone Jude struck the southern cities of Toliara and Morondava two weeks later.
