Helping the family of the addicted

Ironton, Ohio

(The Ironton Tribune, 6 March) Ironton Church of the Nazarene started a six-week group designed to help those whose family members are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.

Unlike similar ministries, this group is not for the addict, rather it is for the mother, the father, or the grandparents who are raising the children of the addict.

"The people that have come to this group have found out that they are going to meet people just like them," said Rob Hale, Ironton Church pastor. "They will find they are not the only ones out there in a situation like they are in."
