A planning committee met at Global Ministry Center May 13 to organize the quadrennial Hispanic National Conference, scheduled for June 15-17, 2016, at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma.

The committee included Western Latin American District Superintendent Orlando Serrano, Texas Oklahoma Latin District Superintendent Caleb Herrera, South Texas District Assistant Samuel Flores, Multicultural Literature Coordinator Mario Zani, and Multicultural Ministries Director Roberto Hodgson. The theme of the conference will be:

Honrando el pasado… Honoring the past

Celebrando el presente . . . Celebrating the present

Anticipando el futuro . . . Anticipating the future

There will be services at night, plenary sessions in the morning, and an array of workshops to address different topics on pastoral and lay leader ministries, including a specific track to address the present and future of young people and how they can be engaged in the Church of the Nazarene's mission “to Make Christlike Disciples in the Nations.”

More information will be sent to all Hispanic/Latino congregations and posted at nazarenosuscan.org as the conference approaches.
