Fifty representatives from more than 14 churches across South Africa’s Gauteng and Western districts descended upon Nazarene Theological College in Johannesburg, South Africa, to help with clean-up, renovations, and general repairs around the campus on 18 February.

Three new district superintendents were elected on the Africa Southeast Field during the recent district assembly season. The Africa Southeast Field covers Zimbabwe, Malawai, and Zambia.

Living Water Falls Church of the Nazarene, a Church Type Mission in Harare, Zimbabwe, held its 3rd Vacation Bible School (VBS). The 2022 VBS was their first in-person service, with 21 children, ages 2–12, in attendance.

Stanley Ushe was appointed field strategy coordinator of the Africa East (formerly Horn of Africa) Field on 14 November 2022. Ushe replaces Musa Kuene, who is moving to the United Kingdom. The appointment becomes effective 1 January 2023.

For the last 100 years, the Church of the Nazarene in Mozambique has been alive, on the move, and experiencing many victories. The church is now set to centrally and communally celebrate its centennial 28-29 October 2022.

To celebrate International Day of the Elderly, the Church of the Nazarene in Ribeira Brava, São Nicolau Island, Cape Verde, honored the elderly of that community in partnership with the city council on 1 October 2022.

New Scent Centre in Insinga, Kenya, is home to more than 70 children and adolescents who have been victimized by sexual and gender-based violence. New Scent has become a focal point of the village with many children relying on it for their own survival.

In Kenya, the New Scent Centre helps restore dignity to children who have been victims of sexual and gender based violence.

Graduation ceremonies took place around the Africa Region. In a joyful show of pomp and circumstance, these educational institutions were able to have their first in-person graduation ceremonies in two years.
