Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*. The national flags rotate weekly, and photos of them raised are sent to the church leaders of that country.

This week: Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Church of the Nazarene officially entered Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1990.

Democratic Republic of the Congo had a population of 86,790,567 in 2019. That same year, Democratic Republic of the Congo reported 391 Churches of the Nazarene, 210 of which have been officially organized. Democratic Republic of the Congo has 23,897 total members.

Located on the Africa Region, Democratic Republic of the Congo has one Phase 3 district, four Phase 2 districts, one Phase 1 districts, and two pioneer areas. For more information about the Africa Region, visit africanazarene.org.
