North, South districts in Uruguay elect new superintendents
During the assemblies of the North and South districts of Uruguay, new superintendents were elected for both districts.
In the North District Assembly, Freddy Godoy was elected superintendent. Godoy will replace Jesús Bernat, who founded the district and has served as its only superintendent over the last 39 years. Godoy was ordained as an elder in 1994 and is currently pastoring Saladero Salto Iglesia Del Nazareno.
The Southern District Assembly elected Marcos Albini as superintendent. Albini was ordained as an elder in 2017 and has pastored Iglesia del Nazareno Maldono since 2003. He will replace Eduardo Meza, who served as coordinator of Holistic Ministries for Uruguay and served as district superintendent for four years.
Present at both assemblies were the general superintendent in jurisdiction for South America, Scott Daniels, and Regional Director, Alessandro Polonio, along with the national leadership.
