The Church of the Nazarene welcomed a number of new leaders at the global and regional levels in 2024. Five new leaders were elected to lead: Global Missions, Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI), Nazarene Missions International (NMI), the Eurasia Region, and the Asia-Pacific Region.

On that first Christmas night, Jesus entered his world in humility, bringing light into darkness and hope into despair. Today, his presence continues to offer new life and redemption to all.

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 16-20 December 2024.

The Board of General Superintendents (BGS) announced the election of Cheryl Crouch as the next global director of Nazarene Missions International (NMI), effective 1 June 2025. Cheryl will follow Lola Brickey, who served as global NMI director for the last ten years.

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

More than 200 young leaders from all six regions of the Church of the Nazarene will gather for Third Wave 2025 in Orlando and Lake Placid, Florida, from January 7-12 for training, discipleship, fellowship, and worship to help them begin to think globally.

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Asia-Pacific held a virtual "NCM Sunday" campaign launch on 1 December 2024 with more than 100 individuals across the Asia-Pacific region.

On Saturday, 9 November, the Nazarene Church in Rotterdam came alive with the second edition of "Holy Chaos," a celebration of unity in diversity that brought together Portuguese, Bulgarian, and Arabic-speaking congregations from across the Netherlands.
