Korea NYI Missions trip

Members of Nazarene Youth International Korea opened a door to plant a church in an unreached area in Northeast Thailand through a missions trip with the theme "Be a missionary, Do missions, and Go to the Field" from 14-20 January.

The NYI Korea leadership had dreamed of participating in missions for many years, and the Thai district superintendent and Nazarene missionaries were praying to reach unreached groups in Northeast Thailand. In collaboration with the team from Korea, the Thai district superintendent and Nazarene missionaries decided on the target area.

When the Korean team arrived in Thailand, they were joined by local leaders from the Thailand District and pioneer missionaries. They visited Ban Duea, where no churches have yet been planted. The group used their various talents to share the gospel. Many of the Korean team are studying acting and music in college.

"I have been praying for this missions trip since NYI Korea started in 1997," NYI Korea Coordinator Hwang Changseon said, "It means a lot to me and NYI in Korea. Praise God that we could be part of pioneer work in Northeast Thailand."

David Nam, a Christian rapper and president of NYI Korea in Korea, was proud to participate in and help carry out NYI Korea's first-ever missions trip.

The pioneer missionaries from the United States and South Korea have been praying for the new church in Northeast Thailand. This missions team was significant given the Thai district's and the missionaries' vision. They believe God has given them the Word for a new area.
