Gordon McCann elected new Canada Pacific district superintendent

by | 03 Jul 2019

Gordon McCann was elected 28 June as the Canada Pacific district superintendent. McCann is currently serving as lead pastor at Brantford Church of the Nazarene in Ontario, a position he has held since 2006.

McCann’s new assignment will be made effective 28 July. He is replacing Earl Wood, who is retiring after serving as district superintendent for nearly 15 years.

“I know Gordon McCann to be a person who loves our Lord and who loves His church,” Wood said. “Gordon brings many skills and natural talents to his assignment. He is focused on responding totally and positively to God’s call on his life. Gordon and his wife, Linda, are good friends and colleagues who I believe will lead the Canada Pacific District in a wonderful way in the years to come.”

Before serving in Brantford, McCann pastored the Community Church of the Nazarene in Coquitlam, British Columbia, from 1989 to 2006. He received his Bachelor of Theology from Canadian Nazarene College (now Ambrose University).

McCann and his wife currently live in Brantford, Ontario.
