Ecuador district holds media training camp

Ecuador district holds media training camp

by | 16 Aug 2019

Ecuador's Sierra Central District recently held a media training camp to prepare church members to use their unique skills to extend the kingdom of God. The majority of the district's churches were represented, especially by youth who were excited to receive the training.

The training included instruction on the use of cameras, recording and editing audio, graphic design, storytelling, drama, and podcasting, among other things. Workshops were presented by students from Olivet Nazarene University in the United States and coordinated by World Broadcast Coordinator Brian Utter.

During the camp, attendees had the opportunity to hear an overview of the communications ministry on the region. Regional Communications Coordinator Lucas Nunes and the national communications coordinator, Carlos Juarez, shared about the ministry, including some ways to get involved.

The workshops were both theoretical and practical. The Sierra Central District recently finished constructing audio and video studios that were used in the training. The new studios will provide the district with a communications center for both training and creating audiovisual resources for the churches on the district.

The participants shared wonderful times of friendship, prayer, and fun with the group from the U.S.

This event allowed the district to form a communications team that is trained and has a desire to serve the church.
