by | 17 Apr 2019

Ruth Daria Privett of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away 2 April at the age of 71. She was the wife of Charles Privett, pastor at Blytheville, Arkansas, First Church of the Nazarene.

Ruth was born in Zebulon, North Carolina, in 1947, and she married her husband, Charles, in 1963. Nearly 15 years later, Charles responded to a call to ministry and served as an evangelist in Texas while finishing his degree at Nazarene Bible College from 1977 to 1978.

The following year, they accepted a position in Arkansas, and they have continued to serve across the state ever since. Charles began pastoring at Blytheville First Church of the Nazarene in 2010, where he still serves to this day.

Ruth is survived by her husband; their three children, Kathy, Tod, and Darin; and their three grandsons, Tony, Cody, and Jacob.

Her visitation and funeral service was held 6 April at Blytheville First Church.

Prayer is requested for the Privett and Blytheville church families.
