Lay ministry leaders at Columbia Grace Church of the Nazarene in Tennessee have found a sense of pride and ownership in their local ministry and personal life thanks to The Discipleship Place and the Certificate of Lay Ministry course.

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from 21-25 April 2025.

Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary announced its new academic dean, Marie Joy Pring-Faraz. She will begin her new role on 3 May 2025.

Vuyani Gladman Tom was appointed superintendent of the RSA Kei District in South Africa, and Hebson Barasa Nagemi was elected superintendent of the Kenya Western District.

More than 100 women from the Central District of Costa Rica participated in the "Take Care of Yourself" retreat, held at Casa de Dios in San José from 7-8 March 2025.

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

Ernest Lee Trevino, 55, of Mercedes, Texas, passed away on 12 April 2025. He was the superintendent of the Texas-Oklahoma Latin District, leading the district since 2023.

Following the conclusion of the Sierra Norte District Assembly, an ordination service was held on 29 March 2025 at Seminario Teológico Nazareno Sudamericano in Quito, Ecuador. Eleven people were ordained elders of the Church of the Nazarene.

The Mexico Western District hosted its first women’s conference 15 March, titled Conectadas (Connected). This event brought together 220 women to reaffirm the importance of maintaining a deep connection with God and one another.
